UX/UI Architect & Digital Delivery Consultant

I worked with the London Borough of Croydon on a programme of digital transformation initiatives focused on improving public-facing services and enhancing the user experience of key council websites and applications. The engagement combined UX consultancy, front-end development and Agile delivery practices within a large local government environment.

Project Focus

The engagement formed part of the council's wider digital transformation programme, which aimed to improve online services, increase accessibility and create more effective digital experiences for residents, businesses and council staff. The work involved reviewing existing digital services, identifying usability improvements and helping to establish a more user-centred approach to service delivery.

A key objective was to simplify user journeys, improve access to information and support the delivery of modern digital services that reduced friction for users while meeting organisational requirements. The work was delivered within a collaborative Agile environment involving stakeholders, service owners, designers and technical teams.

My Contribution

Working closely with stakeholders, product owners and delivery teams, I helped shape the user experience and front-end delivery of a range of digital initiatives. My role combined UX architecture, interface design and hands-on implementation, ensuring that business objectives and user needs remained aligned throughout the delivery process.

Project Outcome

The engagement contributed to the ongoing digital transformation of council services through improved user experiences, streamlined digital journeys and more effective online service delivery. The success of this work helped establish relationships and professional connections within the local government sector that subsequently led to further opportunities, including a significant engagement with the London Borough of Waltham Forest and its Digital Commercialisation Programme.
