UX/UI Architect & Digital Delivery Consultant

The London Borough of Culture website was developed as part of Waltham Forest Council's successful campaign and subsequent programme to become London's first Borough of Culture. The platform provided a central hub for promoting events, venues, artists and community activities while supporting engagement with one of the borough's most ambitious cultural initiatives.

Project Focus

The project focused on designing and delivering a large-scale cultural platform capable of promoting hundreds of events, activities and community programmes across the borough. Following Waltham Forest's successful bid to become London's first Borough of Culture, the website evolved from an initial campaign platform into the primary digital channel for communicating programme information and encouraging public participation.

Work involved the design and refinement of user journeys, content structures and digital interfaces that enabled users to discover events, explore programme content and engage with cultural activities taking place across the borough.

My Contribution

Working alongside council stakeholders, programme teams and technical specialists, I helped shape the user experience and interface design for key digital components supporting the London Borough of Culture initiative. My role focused on ensuring that the platform was intuitive, accessible and capable of supporting a wide range of content and audience needs.

The resulting digital experience helped support one of London's most significant cultural programmes, providing residents and visitors with easy access to events, information and community activities. Through improved usability, accessibility and content organisation, the platform contributed to increased engagement with the London Borough of Culture programme and its associated initiatives.
